Diplomacy!
One more signing to go and that is the UCLA signing tomorrow!!!
Tonight was amazing and as usual it's so nice to see so many people from this site there... It was just incredible!!!
Everyone from the members areas stayed at the end and chatted and I signed books and it was like a right little family community!! It was amazing just so nice.
And so many lovely gifts! One little boy, Brandon gave Charlie a gift too, Charlie was with our sitter as I know he has had too many late nights over the last week and needed to stay on a routine.
You know I meet all these lovely people but I never force my views on others. I can of course tell them my opinions and I do it in such a way that I am sensitive to their feelings, but I am always cautious.
Do you want to know everything, has become my line as I need permission from people to tell them everything. We have to understand that it's up to others to make their own decisions in life and live with that decision. We cannot influence it, not matter how much we want to tell them.
It's actually on of the hardest things to do, but we have to stand and support them and then if their decision is not the right one and they fall then we have to be there for them.
You can't always go around life saying "Well I told you so" as much as you want you, you have to be sympathetic to others feelings... It's hard and I tell you know I, as I have had to bite my tongue several times...
Knowing issues before they happen is one thing yet being diplomatic is another, we have to learn this and actually it's the hardest lesson I have had to learn.
Have a think about it and maybe we can all learn to be a little more diplomatic in our ways...
Happy weekend everyone!!

No Pressure Really!!!
I wanted to apologize to all of you who have had problems trying to get to my site, through the www.lisawilliamsmedium.com link. We have had a problem for a week and I didn't realize it but it's now sorted and fixed and hopefully we will not have any more problems.
Ok, so the build up for the final weekend of the book signing is starting. I will be at Barnes and Noble at the Grove in Los Angeles tomorrow night and all my friends and Kev's friends will be there cheering me on...
Some of Merv's closest friends will be there too... so no pressure!!! ha ha ha Oh I do like to do that to myself!!!
Also I am appearing at the Grove in Anaheim on Sunday night AND it's going to be streamed LIVE to the net so you can all see it first hand if you are not able to travel or get a seat, although I do know there are seats still available, but they are going quickly get in fast!!! If you want more details you can click here and you will be taken to the link for the tickets. If you want to watch live you need to be at my site by 7.30 Pacific time on Sunday 27th April. There will be a link in the navigation bar for you to click on and you will be given instructions. You will need Windows Media Player.
So yes the pressure is building and like I said, I am the worst one to add to my own pressure... I create it. but it's the best way I work. I always have done... even when I was a kid I would leave my homework until the last moment and have the pressure to do it the night before it was due... I worked much better.
I know there are others like me out there, so at least I know I am not alone!!
We all work differently. Kev works in a totally different way, he likes to be all organized and have things sorted a few days before the event so he can relax... I find him often rolling his eyes and with a little smirk as I run around the house like a mad woman getting things done before an event, and you can always guarantee he would say "why have you left it till the last minute" however now, he understands me... he knows that if I arrange things a week before, I would fret and panic and go over things a million times and work myself up into a little frenzy, and realizing it's probably better to leave it till the last minute when I have no time to worry.
It works for me my way and it works for Kev, his way...
Realizing that we are all different is important, we have our own little routines and ideas and things that we need to do... we have to honor and respect that in each other and not complain and critize.
I remember my Grandad before we would leave on holiday saying to us kids sitting excitedly in the back of his car... "Oh she's in there checking the locks and dusting the coal" as he was getting impatient about getting on the road before 7am to miss the traffic on a Sunday!
Nan would be in the house, finishing the washing up and checking all the windows and doors and making sure the timer for the light was set to switch the light on and off. It was her little routine, but but wound my Grandad up and Grandad's little routine of checking the racing form over and over again before Saturdays' race, wound my Nan up.. yet they lived in harmony for 52 years before my grandad's death.
We all do it... and I now laugh at myself doing it... Janey (my BFF... lol) didn't realize how much I wound myself up before a show... she saw the other side of me!
So yes I am laying on the pressure for tomorrows show as I know all our friends will be there and also some of Merv's friends too... it's just my little thing I do, and walking in I will look as cool as a cucumber and afterwards, wonder what all the fuss was about! ha ha ha
Have a happy friday!!!

Don't give someone a job you won't do yourself!
It's all catching up on me!!!
But I keep on plodding on as they say and the energizer bunny is working over time to keep this little bunny going!!! But I am making it and I have a weekend which is crazy but FUN!!!
I am trying to catch up with work and I owe so many people calls, that they will have to wait until next week... I feel bad but hey that's life and I need to rest.
Bless Caroline for blogging last night, she is such a star and I know many people have asked where I found her or how she got the job...
Well...
When I was filming life among the dead for the second season I work with her brother and once the show had wrapped (finished for those of you who haven't a clue what I am talking about) I stood in the doorway and I was exhausted and I told Kev, that I needed and assistant. so I emailed everyone who I thought would know someone and Caroline popped up. She had only been telling her brother a few hours earlier that she wanted to work as a personal assistant for someone... and then her email to me describing how she found out about me was interesting as she said about the situation "Ah the universe" well that was it, in my mind she was hired!
I am very lucky to have her and others who work with me... we work together as a team and that is the most important thing!
I have never like to say tat people work for me, I may pay their wage at the end of the week but we work together, we are a team and we help each other out even tough we are in different states and cities. I value them as important members and I would never give them a job that I was not prepared to do myself... I learnt this early on in my corporate days...
It's amazing how the past jobs, working in corporate offices have moulded me and given me the tools I need to run the business i have now. It's not always easy but I know it works and we have to respect each other and work together.
It's one thing I have noticed on the members only site where everyone pulls together and it's amazing how many times in a day we all help each other out. We need to remember this, so if you feel you are constantly giving, you will find that you are given too at some point also... We are all individuals who should be valued!!!
Remember that!
have a lovely day!!!
With love
Lisa
PS. I am at Barnes and Noble at the Grove on Friday for a book signing and then on Sunday I will be at the Grove of Anaheim for a large show. This will be streamed to the internet and I will post all details of this to the site later in the week.
