Meditation
What a beautiful day it's been today. I had an interview for an English magazine and then we went off to the beach with friends. Oh what a time, even though we are sitting there with our jumpers on and long trousers (well I was, it was considered hot for Kate and Ian) it was great to be by the ocean.
I love it I can sit there and just loose myself in the sound of the ocean and drift off in to my own meditation, even though I am sitting on the edge of the PCH with cars driving up and down.
A friend of mine says he can't meditate as he is too critical of the production (he's in production and knows his stuff) and he said, Lisa I just can't meditate... so the challenge was set... I had to get him to meditate.
some people can't do it to music or candles, everyone does meditation differently. some have mantras some have breathing exercises. it depends on what works for you. Many peoples problems are that they cannot still their mind.
And really what you need to do is focus on you. Focus on what you are feeling at that time.
So with my friend I asked him to listen to my voice and I made him concentrate on his breathing and then started to ask him questions. I started to ask him how he felt about things and what his body was feeling and we worked through the chakras. It was amazing, at one point he went quiet and I thought... oh no He's fallen asleep, but he actually was thinking about his answer. When he came back in to the consciousness he said he had this floaty feeling that he couldn't explain and that it was like the dream state that he gets just as he is falling off to sleep...
Well that is meditation. We do it all the time as we drop off to sleep... it's natural. also have you ever driven your car to a place and got out and thought..."How did I get here, I don't remember driving here?" even though it was the destination you wanted. The reason why is because you are in a state similar to a hypnotic trance. We all can do it without thinking but when it comes to sitting on the floor staring at a candle and saying Om.... that's another thing... We can't do it.
So my thought it, take it in stages. start off maybe trying it for a short amount of time and focus on your breathing... think about the breathing going in your body and where it is going. Allow thoughts to come in to your mind but let them wash through you. Then you can take it further next time and focus on parts of your body and add some visualisations in. Think about colors that you want to go in your body and where it needs to go, for instance, if you have a bad knee send healing blue to that area. You can slowly let it go on and on and you will find that it will be come easier. Practice makes perfect.
Or you can use something to hold on to and concentrate on that item. Make sure it's something you want to touch obviously and rub it and hold it, explore it with your mind.
Being able to meditate doesn't mean that you have to sit or lie still, you can move, you can walk you can rock... whatever works for you.
I love walking and I can loose myself in walking, and also I sit and stare into space. It's all part of meditating.
But be careful you might find you like it and not get anything done !!! ha ha ha
But trying to still your mind is a great way of switching off and you will be able to find clear answers within yourself but always keep a journal handy you never know what will come out of meditating...
So I am off to meditate myself to sleep... enjoy your weekend!!!

Early Night!
Well its caught up on me and Kate has her bungee rope too... I am having an early night... Kate bless her is looking after me. It's been a busy day taking Laura to American Girl and making sure she has a little doll that looks like her, along with rollerskates and a puppy... she is in her element!!
Then in the spa with Charlie tonight, they have had a wail of a time! it's been lovely.
And as Kate quite rightly said and as I said earlier in the week, the world will still be here tomorrow. And how true.
So on that note, I am going to put my boy to bed.. he's just had his story and now he is quietly watching a little TV and I am going to have a night on the sofa with good company and a glass of wine...
But just before I go, I spoke with Ronda again today and we are planning an Exclusive Event in May in Ojai. There will only be space for 50 - 60 people. It's a day of tapping into your own awareness and finding your soul and then communicating with your loved ones. All set in the beautiful area of Ojai in a private canyon. it's going to be amazing!!! I actually can't wait.
If you would like to receive information on this even then click here and fill out this form and we will get back to you in the next few weeks.
Ok I have to get charlie to bed... have a fun day/night and I will be back on top form tomorrow!!!! YAY!!!!
With love

My new Book!
This was an amazing day! Firstly I went to get my feet sorted and only after a week of doing my exercises and being a good girl, the pain has reduced. It's still there but the doc asked me to walk bare foot and it was the first time I did it pain free!!! YAY!!!
Then a reading and then my session with Ronda La Rue. Oh I love it. When I started writing my book, which by the way, the photo above is the first copy off the press!!! whoo hoo!! I churned up all this emotion and 'stuff' that I had dealt with so I actually went to therapy. It was great!!
Good work for the soul and clearing out any issues and misunderstandings from the past is such a cleansing experience and I always suggest doing some sort of therapy when people start their spiritual journey so there is no baggage in the way.
I went through the therapy and I found I was just going around in circles not breaking any patterns, so I decided to work with Ronda. (For those of you who are new click on to my link to my retreat. I have video blogged all the way through and I have to edit it, but time is running away with me at the moment... anyway I digress)
So I stopped therapy and started my sessions with Ronda... soul searching and I mean, REAL soul searching!!! It's tough but so good and it's great to feel alive. So many people go through life, trying to be something they are now, because they have pressure to perform or they trained for a certain job. But the thing is, if it's not your true pathway or vocation you will be stopped in so many ways, until you find the right pathway.
at the time it can be so disheartening, and I know because i job hopped for a long time but when you truly find the way it's amazing!!! You start to find that doors open for you. You have a pathway that is already worked out. You just have to make it happen WITHOUT pressures of family or friends.
Your soul, if you look deep within you, will know what your road and direction in and what choices you need to make. Take stock, sit quietly and reflect. ask your self questions and feel the answer grow within you from your stomach, your soul. Your ego may be telling you one thing, but push it away, as it's telling you what you should so as you have trained for a job, or you want to be with this person, and then feel what is within you.
It may be hard to accept but you have to go with it. and listen to your soul. It's what I have been doing, and at first I didn't want to. No one wants to! BUT I did and I am so glad I did. It changed so many dynamics in my life. And so I am still working with Ronda.
So Kate, Ian and Laura arrived, safe and sound and Laura was a little bouncing bundle of energy and I swear she thought I lived in Cinderella's castle! She and Charlie are getting on like a house on fire and it's like brother and sister, he is so protective.
So my book arrived... I was jumping up and down with excitement!! I can't believe it... I have a book! and seeing it is believing it!!! Whoo hoo.
So it's time for bed for me, and if Kate wasn't so jet lagged she would have got her bungy by now... so I am going to log off...
Sweet dreams everyone and happy days!!
