No Pressure Really!!!

I wanted to apologize to all of you who have had problems trying to get to my site, through the www.lisawilliamsmedium.com link. We have had a problem for a week and I didn't realize it but it's now sorted and fixed and hopefully we will not have any more problems.

Ok, so the build up for the final weekend of the book signing is starting. I will be at Barnes and Noble at the Grove in Los Angeles tomorrow night and all my friends and Kev's friends will be there cheering me on...

Some of Merv's closest friends will be there too... so no pressure!!! ha ha ha Oh I do like to do that to myself!!!

Also I am appearing at the Grove in Anaheim on Sunday night AND it's going to be streamed LIVE to the net so you can all see it first hand if you are not able to travel or get a seat, although I do know there are seats still available, but they are going quickly get in fast!!! If you want more details you can click here and you will be taken to the link for the tickets. If you want to watch live you need to be at my site by 7.30 Pacific time on Sunday 27th April. There will be a link in the navigation bar for you to click on and you will be given instructions. You will need Windows Media Player.

So yes the pressure is building and like I said, I am the worst one to add to my own pressure... I create it. but it's the best way I work. I always have done... even when I was a kid I would leave my homework until the last moment and have the pressure to do it the night before it was due... I worked much better.

I know there are others like me out there, so at least I know I am not alone!!

We all work differently. Kev works in a totally different way, he likes to be all organized and have things sorted a few days before the event so he can relax... I find him often rolling his eyes and with a little smirk as I run around the house like a mad woman getting things done before an event, and you can always guarantee he would say "why have you left it till the last minute" however now, he understands me... he knows that if I arrange things a week before, I would fret and panic and go over things a million times and work myself up into a little frenzy, and realizing it's probably better to leave it till the last minute when I have no time to worry.

It works for me my way and it works for Kev, his way...

Realizing that we are all different is important, we have our own little routines and ideas and things that we need to do... we have to honor and respect that in each other and not complain and critize.

I remember my Grandad before we would leave on holiday saying to us kids sitting excitedly in the back of his car... "Oh she's in there checking the locks and dusting the coal" as he was getting impatient about getting on the road before 7am to miss the traffic on a Sunday!

Nan would be in the house, finishing the washing up and checking all the windows and doors and making sure the timer for the light was set to switch the light on and off. It was her little routine, but but wound my Grandad up and Grandad's little routine of checking the racing form over and over again before Saturdays' race, wound my Nan up.. yet they lived in harmony for 52 years before my grandad's death.

We all do it... and I now laugh at myself doing it... Janey (my BFF... lol) didn't realize how much I wound myself up before a show... she saw the other side of me!

So yes I am laying on the pressure for tomorrows show as I know all our friends will be there and also some of Merv's friends too... it's just my little thing I do, and walking in I will look as cool as a cucumber and afterwards, wonder what all the fuss was about! ha ha ha

Have a happy friday!!!

Lisa xx

I just had to take the time out to say, you are an inspiring individual, you come off very sincere and warm hearted. Glad to see Positivity, Keep Rockin!

Oh Lisa - I so understand the waiting until the last minute thing. It is much the way I work and always have. For example instead of packing to come and see you and LA this weekend (as I should be since I leave early in the a.m.) oh no - instead I am sitting here on your site and having a lovely time.

I will soon make a list of all I must do before I go and oh boy the dash will be on.

Ooopps sorry for the tangent - I understand the creation of the pressure and the knowing at the end with the what was the fuss.

I am sure this weekend will be wonderful and your friends and Merv's will be proud as usual.

Well Lisa, now you've got me all wound up over viewing your show on Sunday! Just kidding....

I loved Merv..always wanted to just hug him..

Kev reminds me of my guy, always preparing while I'm racing around!

If I could, I'd be there for you tomorrow in a minute.

Just knock em' dead lady..(no pun intended)

I'm waiting for Sunday, and the chance to hug you one day!

With love

Hope you have a great weekend! I know you will!

Reading your blog always leaves me with a positive and happy feeling. Thankyou again.

It is so true what you say about how we all do things in our own time - clearly evident in my family - interesting and funny to watch in your children as they grow up, we are a large family and it is about half and half!

Oh, I'm so excited! I was really hoping to be able to see you work in person (I live in the midwest), but this is the next best thing. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

Good luck and best wishes! I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job as always. I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for you over here. ^___^

Congradulations on your second season !!!! I was so happy to have learned you were picked up for the second season. How exciting is that? You and all your staff must be so proud !!!

I just read your blog and can totally relate to both you and your husbands sides in preperation styles. I try to get "The List" going and work from that. Otherwise I would fumble around in circles !!!. Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless.

- Lisa -
I know you will do great. You always rock it out at your readings. I don't think anyone can ever tell that you are nervous.

But you are right. We all have our own way of dealing with our "homework". I tend to be more like you and waiting til the last minute. It does leave for a lil bit less stress than working on it and getting it done early. When I do that I stress that it's not good enough, or, what more could I still do to it.

Get plenty of rest this weekend girlie! Keep your chin up. You will do fine!!!

Hugs!!

Hello Lisa,

It's wonderful for me to be apart of your life via the net but sooooo hard because I live in Africa and long to be (getting ready at the last minute - in a panic) to come and see you live! (while my husband whose been ready for hours shakes his head and asks why I leave everything to the last minute).

It is my dream to meet you. Have a wonderful time on your journey...I will be looking for your book on our shelves.

In light and love

Hi Lisa

Saw you on a TV-program that was broadcasted in Sweden and I must say I was impressed. Don’t usually trust American documentary program but when seeing your face and body language, I’m sure of that you would never accept to be part of any fake.

Homemade philosophy: We think we know it all but I’m sure we in practice don’t know anything. If you show a dog a manual how to build a car and start to describe it does not understand because the dog is not made for that. I think it’s the same with people; we are build to understand what we need to understand and a little bit more. But, I think, it is just a tiny part of "everything". Some of us can have a gleam of the rest. You can.

Would like to meet and see and hear you but I suppose Europe is far away. Planning to visit? You have a British accent so I suppose you have lived in England..?

Kindest regards from a Swedish fan

Lisa, what an excellent, excellent idea to stream the show! I was just talking to my wife about how I wanted to get in touch with you to suggest recording some of your events and streaming them to the web so people who were interested but couldn't make it could still be a part of it. You could even charge some money if you wanted to cover your costs--like Life Among the Dead did on iTunes.

However, looks like you are already ahead of me!

My wife and I really miss sitting down and watching Life Among the Dead on iTunes--we didn't watch it through the TV because we don't get cable... So we are really happy to hear we are going to be able to watch your streamed event Sunday...

Great work! You are so inspirational!

Big Hug,
Johnny and Fay, Atlanta.

PS - Please provide a link where we need to go to for the streaming of the Grove event. Thanks!

*raises hand for working better under pressure* lol

I understand that all too well!!

Tomorrow through Sunday should be interesting and fun!
(and much needed for me after some things that will need to be dealt with this weekend)

See you and some of the gang soon! :)

Much Love,

Thank you so much for this blog Lisa ! I really needed to hear (or read) this today! Funny how it felt like you wanted to say this exactely to me today.
I am so glad hearing that i am not the only person on this world, who is setting so much pressure on things nearly ready to get crazy, and then at the last minutes things work better indeed !

Well, i was wondering some time if i should go for my next risk taken, and just today, i decided to go for it and try ! But maybe, as i have waited that long, it will be too late and someone else will have done it. I am not sure .

So,Lisa, may i plse ask you to send me lots of energy and good vibes today, and the coming weekend, because i really need them ? Thank you so much.

Have a wonderfull weekend too !

Lots of love
Peggy

Lisa,

I have tickets for your show in Rochester, NY and I can't wait. Even if you don't give me or my sister a reading it will be worth it to see you in person.

Try to get some rest if you can.

See Ya

Dearest Lisa of Our Hearts `*;~

How brilliant - the live link this Sunday evening! Many thanks to all involved in making that happen!

And what a fantastic way to replenish after your amazing, powerful "road trip" - back home with your men and hearth - then to springboard back with this weekend's events! Like bookending a series.

But you planned it that way all along, didn't you? Clever, wise Lisa, YOU!

I, too, find I work better with the actual "doing" of tasks toward the tail end of the time allotted. But it's been my experience that everything is "percolating" and forming in my head all along the way. Then things seem to miraculously come together at the end in one great w-h-o-o-s-h!!

It never ceases to astonish me when it "works", even though that's the way it's always been for me.

And, you guessed it, my husband and Keven could be brothers in their own personal style of doing things.

I think the yin and yang of the discrepant styles must be a powerful force when brought together.

And THAT'S the key word, no? "TOGETHER."

Thank YOU, Lisa Heart, for bringing US all together. It is a powerful force.

Bless you and yours this weekend and always `*;~

Lisa,

You will do great, you always do. You are absolutely amazing. I will be there in person, in Rochester NY, on May 7th and I can't remember the last time I was so excited for something to happen. Can't wait to see you and good luck this weekend.
