Don't give someone a job you won't do yourself!

It's all catching up on me!!!

But I keep on plodding on as they say and the energizer bunny is working over time to keep this little bunny going!!! But I am making it and I have a weekend which is crazy but FUN!!!

I am trying to catch up with work and I owe so many people calls, that they will have to wait until next week... I feel bad but hey that's life and I need to rest.

Bless Caroline for blogging last night, she is such a star and I know many people have asked where I found her or how she got the job...

Well...

When I was filming life among the dead for the second season I work with her brother and once the show had wrapped (finished for those of you who haven't a clue what I am talking about) I stood in the doorway and I was exhausted and I told Kev, that I needed and assistant. so I emailed everyone who I thought would know someone and Caroline popped up. She had only been telling her brother a few hours earlier that she wanted to work as a personal assistant for someone... and then her email to me describing how she found out about me was interesting as she said about the situation "Ah the universe" well that was it, in my mind she was hired!

I am very lucky to have her and others who work with me... we work together as a team and that is the most important thing!

I have never like to say tat people work for me, I may pay their wage at the end of the week but we work together, we are a team and we help each other out even tough we are in different states and cities. I value them as important members and I would never give them a job that I was not prepared to do myself... I learnt this early on in my corporate days...

It's amazing how the past jobs, working in corporate offices have moulded me and given me the tools I need to run the business i have now. It's not always easy but I know it works and we have to respect each other and work together.

It's one thing I have noticed on the members only site where everyone pulls together and it's amazing how many times in a day we all help each other out. We need to remember this, so if you feel you are constantly giving, you will find that you are given too at some point also... We are all individuals who should be valued!!!

Remember that!

have a lovely day!!!

With love

Lisa

PS. I am at Barnes and Noble at the Grove on Friday for a book signing and then on Sunday I will be at the Grove of Anaheim for a large show. This will be streamed to the internet and I will post all details of this to the site later in the week.

xx

Hello Lisa
My names is Amandine and I live in France, I watch your show on satellite and I just wanted to tell you that you are doing a wonderful job ... you help all these people to heal their wounds. I don't know if it's you who've said this "the toughest in the death of a loved one is not so much the absence of the person but rather abrupt communication" with your gift, you allow them to speak one last time with them ...
Keep doing what you're doing ...
We love you
PS: sorry if there are any mistakes, my English is weak

Lisa! :-)

I am in awe of your courage to go live with an audience show! It is a true and stellar reflection of your genuine nature and desire to share the beauty that your gift brings to those who experience it. xo

I am so excited for all of the members/friends that cannot join us at the Grove to have the opportunity to be there with us "virtually" all over the world! Can you just IMAGINE chat that night? hahahaha It is going to be wild :-).

What a great weekend to look forward to...a toast to you and to your getting some really good 'sleeps' in the next days!

Smiles and love (and many blessings to Rob!),

xoxo

Lovely Lisa,

With each blog you make more and more of your wonderful personality and character shows through. I very much respect your belief as an employer - you are the type of employer who will rarely have difficulty with employees for the simple reason that you respect them and it shows.

Wow how busy you have been and you just keep going. This weekend will be busy for you as well - but there are so many of us that are just bubbling over with excitement at the days to come.

You have created quite the wonderful family here in your members site - so very supportive, informative and loving. Thank you for that.

Peace and rest for you,

janice b.

Hi Lisa,
So glad you are enjoying being back home and that you are taking care of yourself. People will understand and calls can wait. It's so important to take care of oneself. Anyway...I couldn't agree with you more about working with people as a team. It really shows your integrity and caring character. Glad your trip(s) were a success and I am soooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to seeing you in Springfield MA. I have a question for you, only if you have time, what is your favorite crystal/semi precious stone? The one that touches your heart the most? Just a little surprise in mind. (course you probably will already know what it is before I even make it! He He. You are doing such a wonderful and amazing job....you go girl! cindy

Tsunami Survivor - Hi my name is Mel. I am an Aust living in Thailand. I am married to a Thai National and we used to live on Phi Phi Island. Our daughter was born christmas night, which meant that we were on the main land (Phuket) when the Tsunami hit the next morning. She was actually due on the 17th Dec but thankfully she arrived late saving our lives. Anyway I supposed I think of death differently since that day and since becoming a mother. I just wanted you to know that I watch your show every week here in the middle of the rice fields of northern thailand and think you are amazing. xox

Hello Lisa,

My name is Julie and I live in france. Yesterday evening Iwatched your emission on a string satellite until 1:00 the morning !! I was very moved by the various consultations including one where a mother had come to see you after the accident his son a motorcycle in order to know the truth.
Something leads me to write to you today and I have found that the average return may be in contact with you. The purpose of this mail is not a coincidence.
Ihave 22 years and I lost my parents happen overnight. Icould not tell them or their goings speak for one last time. It is very hard. Today there are several questions about their disappearance. In browsing the world, I hope they will too , and who may be able to communicate a message.
Sorry, if there are any mistakes my english is weak

Julie

Hi Lisa, and welcome back!
I just wanted to share that I bought your book last week and started reading it yesterday. I wanted to congratulate you on the book, and thanks for sharing your experiences. I feel connected with you b/c many of the experiences you've shared are very similar to mine, specially the early "visitors" and realizing later on in life that you were called to do this work.

I'm still working on building my confidence level and the fact that whatever messages or visions I get when I'm doing a reading may not make sense to me, but to the other person it may mean the world.

Thank you for being such an inspiration. Even when I don't know you in person, you have made a difference in my life, and many others as well with your down-to-earth, no frills approach to spirituality.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart,
Frances

Lisa, if only all "bosses" thought like you did. The world would probably be a little less stressful!

Good to hear you're finally getting some rest and time with your family. With all the things you do, you certainly deserve it :)

Hello Lisa,

So glad that Caroline came along when you were looking for an assistant. Best of all is that all of you in the "office" get along splendidly.

My husband and I had an art gallery and frame shop for many years. We were so lucky in that most of those who we hired to help in our small family business were wonderful folk. We were indeed a big family and have gained many friendships through our employees. Luckily my husband was the one who did all the hiring and firing as he was much better qualified to do this when needed. We tried to be the best employers and were rewarded many times over by good workers who on the most part got along in the small space.

Now that we have semi-retired, we miss those who helped us through all those years. But we know they have moved on to other things and we were there when they needed work. (most of them were struggling artists who now are on their own producing their own works)

I look forward to connect to you when you are able to have the weekend show online. That should be wonderful to "see" you that way. I miss your show so much.

Have a wonderful weekend Lisa and all

Margot

I agree, I work in construction at a jobsite. Teamwork is absolutely necessary to get the job done. I will go out of my way to assist my other co workers but there is one in paticular who thinks he is better than everyone else, and honestly it is extremely fustrating when there is a member of your team who is reluctant to help get the job done. It can bring everyones morale down.

I have nothing but respect for my PM (boss) because he will get down and dirty and work with us not against us....and he is the boss. I respect that.

April 24, 2008 | Registered CommenterShawnee

Respect for those who you work for and with is so important in creating a successful team.

Recognizing that we are a team, and that those who work "for" us are the backbone of our success, was key for me in supervising others.

It's very admirable to see the respect in which you run your business. I know it's not something that everyone is capable of doing, as I have experienced some very poor management..

Thanks for being the Energizer bunny you are!

Caroline and Rob, you are stars!

See you all this weekend, hopefully!

Much Love,
Vy <3
