We're in Scotland!
Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 04:11PM Finally we are here in Scotland! Whoo hoo. Kev has constantly gone on about Glasgow and how it's his favorite city, and finally I am here and YES it's raining. But who would have thought anything different. Fortunately I bought my pack-a-mac! Something told (spirit) me when I was shopping last week, I needed to buy a coat. And I am so glad I did. I love my brolly but sometimes I don't like to carry anything, so it was great... perfect day, a little chilly, rain and fun!
Of course everywhere I went were men in Kilts.
I couldn't resist to take this picture.
Coming here was a journey and a half but it's the start of a huge tour and I really don't know how people like Madonna tour like this, being away from their kids and constantly being on the road. It's crazy, but its something I have just started and although I am going to miss Charlie like crazy, I will certainly enjoy!
So we wandered around Glasgow and then guess what I saw....
Yes you can see... my picture was staring me in the face!Quite a shock... and it was really weird.
Kev had a friend of his who he hasn't seen for 15 years and Kev is not on Facebook or anything like that, so we were talking last night about his friend so we decided to hunt him down and this afternoon Kev spend with him catching up on 15 years. And he took us to this amazing Italian, which you would not believe where it is. You would walk by it if you didn't know it was there... in fact we did!
Its Ristorante Caprese, and it was fabulous. Andrew the tour manager, and Steve the videographer who is standing in for Chris Poloni, as he is not well, Danny, Kev's friend, Kev and I went to this restaurant to celebrate the start of the tour tomorrow, that kicks off in Glasgow at the Concert hall...I am so excited to be in UK to tour its like a dream come true.
So here we are with the owner of the restaurant as we were celebrating the start of the tour.
It's amazing how sometimes you just get on with things and you never think things are going to come around and happen and then suddenly here we are in Glasgow to start the UK tour. I honestly wasn't sure this was going to happen but here we are and I am so overwhelmed and I know it's going to be an amazing experience when I stand on that stage tomorrow night.
Thanks to all of you for supporting what I do, to see the healing that goes on is incredible and thank you for being part of the experience.
With love
Lisa xx

Hi Lisa,
Welcome to Glasgow.Hopefully the warm welcome will make up for the dreich weather.
I have just decided to come tomorrow night. I am sure I am being guided as I had torn out an article about your visit weeks ago then this morning I found it in some papers I was working on and called about the show, then again tonight I found this site whist on searching for a holiday.
You should try to take in the city bus tour to tune into the fascinating history of our wonderful city.I hope you have an enjoyable stay and that you encounter many intereting characters both past and present.
Regards,
Myra
Thanks Lisa for the pictures of Glasgow - and especially the picture of you next to your poster!! LOL

Hi Lisa, Enjoy Glasgow, it is a very spiritual place - the Scots are a very psychic race!! ! I'm a Glaswegian living in London and sadly unable to get to your Glasgow event this weekend, but I know it will be a good one! But LIsa, I have to say, I too am a Medium (of similar age to you!) and I have to tell you, you are my greatest inspiration in this field as I strive to create my work in it! I love how you bring the mediumistic work to people in a normal, modern, ordinary way (none of this incence burning stuff etc!!). This is exactly the approach I take and the approach I want to take to people! I think this is so important. Having been at the SAGB for many years, I do know several mediums working in the media, but none of them inspire me as you do and motivate me to keep going as you do! So a big personal thank you! Enjoy your UK tour - and please next time, come a little further south!! Cheers Mairi
Lisa I hope you read this!!!
I am so excited I can hardly think!!!
My husband and I watched your show on tv last night - I told him I'd love to go to your show when you come to Australia, but that I would wait until next year.
He surprised me this morning with tickets to your show, flights and accomodation for the 25th September!!!!!!
Oh WOW!!!
I didn't expect it in a million years!!!
Looking forward to seeing you - I'm so excited!!!

Lisa,
Hope you have a wonderful time in Glasgow, glad you get another chance to go (almost) home!
It's so delightful how unspoiled you are, the fame clearly hasn't go to your head one bit, and I hope you will always remain that grounded regardless what happens in your life.
G, what a fantastic surprise from your husband! Enjoy Lisa's show, I can assure you it will be worth it!

Hi Lisa, Hope your show goes well in Glasgow. On the 7thSeptember while you are in Blackpool try and see the Illuminations. Every time I go back to England I still love to go and see them. Even at my age. Susan
Hi Lisa,
I am thrilled for you and Kev! Scotland is so very beautiful. John and I had the privilege of visiting there in 2000. It was a first for the both of us and so many wonderful and beautiful sights to see. I hope you have time to tour a castle or two or maybe more. We were in absolute awe of all there was to see there. How do you define history or what is beautiful in such a magical and wondrous place. There is never enough time! Enjoy the restaurants, the people and most of all, ENJOY your entire experience!!
Your events there will be spectacular as the people are the same. Safe travels to you all!
Big hugs,
Keith

Hi Lisa!
I must say that Glasgow is one of my favorite cities as well. The people are so friendly and fun and I just love the atmosphere walking around the streets.
There's a karaokebar on mainstreet. It's nothing fancy but my friends and I went there one night and we didn't pay for one drink all evening. People asked us to dance and bought us drinks and talked to us all night. I think it's a sportbar (Rangers perhaps?) slash karaokebar. I'm sure it helped us being Swedes (and one American) but anyways. If nothing else, the shopping is incredible in Glasgow!!! Love it!
BTW, there should be an alternative store nearby the karaokebar. If it's still open.
I was almost going to your show tonight but I/we couldn't find a flight home tomorrow in time for me to be back at work and I couldn't find a stand in on such short notice. I am very bummed about it. My GF was set to go but next time I guess...
Have tons of fun and good luck tonight!
Linda

Dear Lisa,
I'm crying tears of nostalgia just thinking of where you are. I am South African and had the good fortune of living in the UK for two years when I was in my thirties. It was the first time I had ever stepped out of my home country, and I tell you, the UK blew my mind away. It was so awesome living there. The history evoked such strong feelings in me it was amazing. We lived in Esher, Surrey, our daughter Donna went to the American Community School in Cobham and I studied fashion design at Lucy Clayton Design School and my poor hubby went and earned the bucks in the City. We had our "bums in the butter". It was so awesome... we travelled whenever we could, exploring Cornwall, Wales and across the channel to Europe. It was such a blessed experience. I often got so overwhelmed and emotional in some of the places that we visited. Looking back I realise it must have been all the spiritual energy I was picking up. Wow, Lisa you are SO LUCKY to be there. Have an awesome time. I have never been to Scotland but can clearly imagine the wonder of it. Take time out with Kev and feel the experience and absorb the energy. Reading some of the above blogs, you are so enormously loved and are being welcomed with open arms by the Scottish folk. The people sound great. Have a blast. Thinking of you. Hugs and blessings, Jeanette
