You have the power

I say this all the time when I am back home, but it's nice to be back. even if it's just for a few days, it's always nice.

Tonight we headed out to the local town, which is small in comparision to anywhere in America, and so many people came up to say hi, and said that they were coming to the show on Wednesday. I'm starting to get nervous now, but it's good to stay on your toes!!

We drove up to Manchester also to be on Salford Local Radio and Joe the presenter was lovely also. I have met some lovely people and tomorrow we are heading to Janey's for some real home cooked food....ooooh I can't wait.

It's been an emotional few days reuniting with people, and this is always good as wounds can be healed and bridges can be mended if only you put your ego aside. Sometimes when we spend time apart, we can take time to reflect on life and things that we have done in the past and what needs to be changed. We can take time to change it, but we can also take time to look at ourselves and that is an important thing.

We can't change the past, that is history. There is no need to hold on to it, it's time to move forward and look ahead, even if your issues were yesterday, it's past so don't dwell on it.

Stay positive and know that what ever you allow in your life, influences your decisions, but also we have to be honest and trust ourselves, because at the end of the day you are the only one who can really make you happy. Happiness comes from within you, people of course make us happy, but you choose to let them in your life, so again it all boils down to you.

You have the power within... to be strong.

Have a lovely weekend

Just wanted to thank you, Lisa, for all the joy and comfort and healing you bring to people. You are so generous with your gift when you are with us, and when you are on your own you even take the time to teach and share with your blogs.

It's all about love, isn't it? Like the Beatles sang, "and in the end, the love we take is equal to the love we make." You are radiant with love!

Big hug!

Absolutely, LISA xoxo

When I go home, there is always a unique perspective to take on my life, as I am in a position to see both my growth and, interestingly, any new perceptions of a need for growth. It always shifts my dynamic in a sense, perhaps differently every time, depending on what is needed...but what a BLOW out to the system!!

No matter where we have gone in our lives, when we go home, we relate to where we were in a unique way...and that impacts how we see the horizon...it is a connection that translates to that inexplicable and far away piece of us that was founded in childhood...and remains within us.

Love to you Lisa and to all!
xoxo

Hi Lisa,
Yes, it is good to learn from the past, but not dwell on it. We can't do anything to alter what has already happened, but we can certainly learn from it and make the changes necessary to avoid the bad bits from happening again.
You have a beautiful attitude and your old friends know a quality person when they have met one! I am sure they are delighted to get reacquainted with you!
Be well, and take good care of yourself!

Love and hugs,
Cheryl

l agree with everything you are saying. l do believe that the past can't be changed and it is much easier to forgive then to hold on to anger . l have lived by this but when it comes to my mum l can't. What if the person continues to behave in a way in which you find hard to accept. l know it's their journey but l have been hurt and l still see my mum behaving in the same way. For now l can only love her from a distance but who knows what the future holds. Hugs Rach

Dear racca,rach
I know what it must be like to have mum problems too. Sometimes when the mum is not there we search for another mum figure to love us. I used to turn to my Aunty. I also know what it is like when cousins or others take the side of the mum. Sometimes they do not understand because they have not walked in our shoes.
You are a good person and I hope that your hurt will be healed in time. Hope that you will enjoy yourself at Lisa's melbourne show. Take care. ((((Loving Hugs)))

Hello Lisa,

Yes we have to leave the past where it is and move forward, accept who we are and accept that we can make mistakes as well as everybody.
Be true to our selves is essential really and staying positive.
I'm glad for you to know that you reconnect with your friends Lisa and I'm sure your family and friends are thrilled to be with you. You give so much love around you...you're a real light.

Take care of your beautiful self Lisa ;-)

Hi Lisa,

I was one of those people that came up to you last night. I hope you had a nice evening and are enjoying the wonderful English weather! I am glad that I looked on your website and have been able to book tickets to come to see you on Wednesday.

I am trying not to pin all my hopes on our loved one coming through but it would mean a great deal to my family as there are many unanswered questions surrounding their death.

We think you are a truely amazing person with a rare gift and are looking forward to seeing you Wednesday night!

Hey there Lisa,

It sounds like you are having fun but also going through a gamut of emotions. You are so right about being able to put our egos on the side so you can begin to make peace with the past and move on. So true!!!

I know you are nervous about the show Wednesday, but you will rock the house! Spirit will help you through it. Just flow with it.

I have to share this with you! After I responded to your 'Connections Blog' yesterday, something really bizarre happened that is not just a coincidence. Apparently, I never deactivated my FB account which I thought I did and I was getting these e-mail notifications from FB that had been stuck in my spam folder on AOL. I was looking for another e-mail and thought maybe it went into the spam folder. That is when I discovered all of these e-mails that were requests to be my friend on FB. Needless to say, I was a little surprised. Lo and behold, I go onto the FB account that I thought I deactivated (had to reset the password because I never used it) and there is a friend from my distant past sending me a request to be her friend. She and I were very tight through H.S. and for a couple of years after. However, we eventually went our separate ways and lost touch. Very, very strange I would say considering what I wrote to you just hours before about why I don't do FB. I think Spirit is trying to tell me something. Apparently, I have to watch my words because someone is listening. LOL I have to tell you that my head is spinning from this one.

Have some fun and enjoy Janey's home cooking. You need it to keep up your strength :)

Love~n~Hugs,
DS

This part of your blog :
"Stay positive and know that what ever you allow in your life, influences your decisions, but also we have to be honest and trust ourselves, because at the end of the day you are the only one who can really make you happy".

I love that part and it's sooo true. The whole blog is great, but for some reason this part stuck out with me. I hope that you are enjoying your trip thus far meeting up with friends from your past....
Hugs lisa and I pray for a safe journey to you Kev and your parents.....Have a great time at Janey's :)
