People are just people!
Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 04:26PM I have been doing a crazy load of interviews today ready for some of my tour dates, and I love doing all the interviews but it seems so apparant that people are celebrity crazy! What is the deal!
Yes it's fascinating to have an 'in' on peoples lives and the reality TV has crazed the world, but now it seems totally over the top. It is just my opinion of course but it's very interesting. Every one today wanted to know which celebrity I had read for and what was the scoop in hollywood!!! Also do I get star struck.
It's funny, because yes I have that moment of... OMG I'm sitting with .... but then I switch and go straight into professionaly mode, it's really interesting. It's just the way I am. However I did get all gooey and star struck when I met John Edward the first time... I sat on Oprah's stage and I think I stroked his arm several times... it was so funny!! and then when he met me coming out of the lift and I was heading home, he gave me this massive hug, which I was like.... OMG John Edward Hugged ME! ha ha ha
But for me people are people and we are all the same. We all eat, sleep and drink and go to the bathroom. No one is any different at all. Yes some of us, have chosen to be in front of the camera's but that doesn't make us any different or special. We are who we are.
I always get really shocked when people meet me and tell me that they are nervous. I say... it's just me... I am like you. But it's true. It doesn't make me any different.
So that's my opinion and its just an observation. And yes while it was a little celebrity crazed, I did have a lot of fun today chatting with them, and I had some great interviews! I spoke to Russell Grant today, this amazing astrologer, and I used to read his horoscopes years ago... and he was chatting to me on the phone... now that was a little surreal!

I have to say, when I met Lisa it brought tears to my eyes. I wouldnt say it was "star struck" but more like meeting someone that you respect and admire. Meeting someone so inspiring that has changed so many peoples lives is an honor. Your right, Lisa is just like everyone else, that is what makes her story so uplifting and lets everyone see that if you work hard, you can have your dreams come true.
It was such a real pleasure to meet you Lisa because your so real and down to earth and hug and chat to every one like they are and always have bin ur friends n buddys.
You are so gifted and not just in the spiritual sence but in the sence that you radiate love and light into every corner of every room you enter and everyones life in which you enter twine. Thanks Lisa.
We will meet again and i will gratefully recieve as many magical hugs as i can steal....lol

Are you getting a good rest, Dear Girl? I hope so. I imagine that the few days away from the family makes everyday more special. From what I read here, you guys have many special events in your lives. It charmed me to think of you 3 dancing around the living room to ABBA. It's funny, Because up untill recently, I'd only seen you on "Lifetime". I'd thought of Charlie as just being a little tike. 9 years old!!! He's really a big kid, now!!!

I know! I cried,too! Isn't "Tuesdays....." a beautifuf book? I saw the movie,"THE 5 PEOPLE YOU"LL MEET IN HEAVEN" and I knew, I had to read everything Mich Albom wrote. There are writers that have a very acurate view of what things are really like.
Look at the Speilberg films like, Close encounters, Always, What Dreams may come...
just to name a few. I don't think alot of people realize how much fact is put out there in the name of "fiction". Yes, there are people on planet Hollywood, who are also blessed with insight. I love to see or read things that show that they are aware, too.

Oh yes but Lisa you are different. You are so down to earth and truly sweet. I mean how many people do you know who do shows and then stay and give everyone a hug? One difference Lisa - most "stars" stay pretty detached from their fans. I was at the Peoria show and when you hugged each and every person in line, you truly hugged them! You are so sincere - and just fab!

Living in Southern California for the past twenty years I have had many opportunities to mingle or come across people who have been on television, films, radio, and various sports. I never, ever felt 'star struck', but I did feel what an honor to be in the moment to enjoy the presence of someone who I admire their work (or not) ~ but I have felt that same feeling with others who just smile and embrace others.
These are regular folks like the rest of us who have a talent that exposes them to so many. Many of them are super normal! It is the public which places them on a pedestal and many of them would find themselves disappointed if they realized how normal their stars were on a day to day basis. And guess what...normal is good!! Normal is fabulous and if we go beyond normal just a tad bit we are just soaring into new heights that take us to new places. It's those poor souls that get wrapped up in their own celebrity or the public's image of them that end up having a very abnormal type of life which can end up scarring them & their fans.
