People who impact us!

Day 2 sailing, and it was lovely to sleep in and relax… with Charlie. We had a leisurely breakfast and watched DVD's and just vegged out until it was time to head to my lecture.

The lecture was lovely and everyone was so interested and even though I only did one reading, it was great that the lady's husband came through to her, and her daughter… it was his way of saying I'm sorry and I'm ok.

It was beautiful to witness.

Charlie and I chilled and relaxed and then it was time for the cocktail party with everyone which was great and we met so many nice people. It's always nice to get dressed up too. Sometimes there are never enough excuses in life to put on a dress, killer heels and rock the joint! And that was just how I felt tonight.

I felt so much better than yesterday, (jeez, I was feeling rough yesterday) so I made up for it… my voice is still weak but I held my own at the dinner table.

I have met 2 very special people on this cruise, and one I instantly looked in his eyes and thought… wow I know you!!! His name is Ray and he is helping out with the bookstore for Hay house, we sat next to each other at dinner and chatted like we had known each other all our lives, and the chances are we had… but lives before this. And the other was Ibis… she is the person who has helped Hayhouse with the cruise and made this all possible. She is such a giving and open person you can't help to love her and also she sat the other side to me at the table… so I was torn between who I was going to talk to first.

And of course there is John…. delightful and warm and funny, John… You have just got to love him. I am so blessed to be here with these people at the moment, and they all love Charlie.

Who incidentally came from kids club tonight, and sat down as we were all having dessert and ate chocolate ice cream, followed by lamb chops!!! ha ha ha yes, he decided he was hungry after dessert!

It's been a perfect day, and ended a perfect way… Charlie and I sat on the balcony and looked into the clouds and we started to make out the cloud formations, and telling stories. It was so peaceful. He asked if we could sit there all night… I would love too but I was too tired to stay up, so I now lie in bed with my little man by the side of me who is reading everything I write and even wrote a few words himself… and we are going to snuggle down and get some zzzzzz preparing for another perfect day together!

Some people you feel you have known for ever and then there are others who make an impact, and either way, over the last few days I have met 2 people who are going to either be in my life forever or who have seriously impacted my life in a great way… and along with Charlie I am very very blessed.

Big hugs and much love

Lisa xx

Day 2 sounds like fun! that lady would have been so thrilled her husband came through. I'm glad you've connected to some people on the
cruise that you feel know you and you know. I think that happens rarely but I do know what you mean. Ice cream and
then lamb chops mm mm .. no idea why i'm pausing here.. I must be hungry lol.
well as usual I read what your saying and think yeah.. we all do feel that from time to time. I think you speak for a lot of people when
you comment.. relate to. I myself have had 5 instant friends, meaning I knew them from the start, I realise it more now as the friendships
literally havent' changed years on. I just felt I always knew them and who they were. How i do not know.
I find that I meet people too who are finding something hard, something more than i have experienced yet need my help and I feel unworthy.
2 woman I can think of impacted me. We learnt a lot. One died and I was movign interstate when I met another. But it was destiny, or meant to be. Just in each others lives at the right time.
Thanks lisa!! Love you trememdously & your wee cherib Charlie and your husbando xx

I was a little sad reading the last post of Lisa.
My best friend, she and I felt we met each other in other lifes, we know each other 20 years. We knew what we were thinking without saying any word, we were only 14 when we met but all this has changed. I felt in love with a foreigner and I moved 7 years ago to other country but I come back to visit home regularly, last time I visited (1 month ago), all seemed so different between she and me. It mades me sad. I don't have other like her. She was my only one actually. It seems she decided to go further with her life (she has a boyfriend now) "without me", I respect her decision. I don't know this for certain, it is just my feeling. I would like to meet a good friend again in my life.

Dear Angela,

Sorry that your last visit home was a sad one due to your relationship with your friend changing. It is sad when you feel such a strong connection to someone when they don't seem to feel the same. It might be difficult due to the demands on her new life with her man and may have nothing to do with you directly. I have also heard that some people come into our lives at a time when we really need them, and then drift away when the time is right. I am sure you will find more friends in time that share the same interests as you do. Try not to take it too personally (I am also sensitive and get easily hurt by rejection). This website is also a wonderful way to chat to people and make friends and help each other, especially in the chat room.

Blessings,
Jeanette

Dear Lisa,

It must be so special having Charlie there with you day and night whilst on the cruise. I know that, with you going away and travelling the way you do, that every minute you spend with Charlie is precious so I hope you enjoy every moment of it.

I must admit I am jealous.... ha ha. I feel very left out here in SA away from all the action and not being able to at least go to one of your shows. The cruise sounds awesome as you get to spend quality time with everyone on the cruise.

Wishing you a very special week with Charlie and everyone else on the cruise.

Blessings,
Jeanette

Hi Lisa,
It is so wonderful how well things are going and the lovely friends with which you have reconnected! (or are just getting to know!) You deserve lovely idyllic times and so does your sweet Charlie!
Take care, sweetie!
Hugs and love,
Cheryl

I too have lost best friends: one to a slow death from ovarian cancer, and another like Angela's situation, where she just went in a different direction and became too busy with the family and grandchildren to have room for anyone else. The pain can come back and hit me in my heart with unbearbale pain, but all I can do is go on and honor the life I was given and perhaps become the light and comfort for another life in need of a caring friend.
xxo!

Hi Lisa, sometimes we met people in this present life with knowing that it is not the first time. In those situations i like to know the reason why….and for good or bad moments in our life there is always a reason why those encounters happens.

Life has no random at all and we met the persons we have to.. and the impact in our way of living is always proportional to our capability of ceasing those moments.

Sending you up some good energy! :0)
