Memories

I feel like I am cramming for an exam at the moment... I have barely checked my personal emails I have just been beavering away planning next weekend. I have it all planned, but then I go back, change things make sure it all looks right, planning things for the girls so that it's easier... I remember feeling this way when it was my maths exam... ha ha ha

so it's been nice to be home with my parents and just chill. They took my car today and explored Hollywood, Santa Monica, The Grove and other places and loved it... it's like they are at home here. I'm not sure how Kev feels about that one... ha ha ha but it's been great to have them.

Tomorrow is our last night but we have been together for over 3 weeks and it's been lovely considering that we were such a close knit family before. I used to see them daily, or speak to them at least, and now we are 7,000 miles apart.

We have laughed together and had fun times over these few weeks and they are all memories that we share, and as I have been planning the Mediumship weekend in Santa Monica, I have been breaking down the Mediumship process and how spirit communicate and what they say... and it never surprises me how many times they give me a memory link to them. things that they remember doing with you. Things that they laughed about, made fun of or cried over.

We create these memories and we take pictures. Pictures last for a while but the memories stay with us lifetimes... we remember them in the next world also.

So next time make the memories special even if it's just watching a bird fly in the sky, as you never know which ones will be remembered from beyond!

Much love and many hugs

Lisa xx

Home sweet home, it must be nice having that time and sharing your home with your family. Thanks for the reminder that memories last. What you say about a bird ..If I can share?.. I had a hilarious memory of a friend pointing to a bird in her bedroom when she was half asleep (there was no bird lol) Theres a bird!!! That memory always makes us laugh and when we say it we know what it means. If someone says 'theres a bird!' even if there is an actual bird, it makes me smile. So I totally love the idea that i'll be smiling in the afterlife too. Have fun with your family and i'm so glad you have memories together to treasure.

So true Lisa, Memories are special and particularly when we are fortunate enough to have our parents with us to share such experiences like you have done with your parents.
I too am fortunate to have my dear parents whom I see or speak with daily. Memories and fun times that stay with us forever, to treasure forever.

Hi Lisa, So pleased to hear you have had a lovely time at home with your mom and dad, they must be sooooooo proud! Memories are the most important thing, its always important to take time out and do things with family together and create them as when we lose people its what holds us forever close to them. Take care, Love Jo Cumming (Reeves, Redditch) xxxx

This is a great blog Lisa... I really understand what you say about the links with your parents and I am truly happy for you. These weeks together were extraordinary.
I am sure that your parents too, have shared unforgettable moments with you and that they have learnt so much with you..
I also try whatever I live to enjoy pure moments of friendship, love and to take a mental picture of magic moments when we all laughed together or the little discreet looks that we have for one another meaning that we love each other so much.

I send you much love Lisa,

Lise

Hi Lisa - appreciating the beautiful things in our lives - whether it is the people we love and share our lives with or the wonders of nature makes for beautiful memories. It is sooo nice knowing that memories can come with us when we are no longer in this physical world.

It is so nice for both you and your parents to have been able to share this time together. I'm sure that they are memories that you will both reflect on in the days to come.

Love and happiness always

Darling Girl.... This time with your parents is most precious, for you & them, but especially for Charlie, as it gives him a foundation on which to build, when he has children of his own. I know that is hard to imagine, now, but some day, he will meet THAT special girl, & make his own family unit, just as you & Kev have done. The thing is, he can see that miles & time do not have to make hearts distant. Only the actions of people do that. The memories reside in the heart, so those we love are always close. Just sorry for all of you, that this has to end so soon. So... You just start the next countdown calendar, & burn up the webcams!

Wonderful, too, that this time of prep for the weekend has been opportune to explain, to Dad, just what he is coming to realize. So good that he can now relate the events of the past to what has always been your reality. Has to be much easier for your mother, too, now that he is more on the same page with her, & you!

And Kev? Kev is the kind of person who can relate to anyone, anywhere. But, he has always had your back, so he will be intimately protective at delicate times. You were born to your parents, but you CHOSE Kev, & that is special, as is he. Despite your fame, he is a great, gentle strength behind the public woman, & rightly so. My hat is always off to Kev!

Have a wondrous few hours, before you hit the ground running, again. If people truly love you, & understand what your life entails, (like you are spinning in the teacups at Disney) then those waiting for responses to personal emails (!) will be OK with the delays. Though, some may be time contingent! The little rose sends love & hugs! O:-}a

Dear Lisa,

I have one more week in U.S. before I must return home. Spending time with my daughter is such a precious moment, so I know how your parents feel. This week we have shared many thoughts and words - we'd like to share these with you and your readers today:

The Memory of Loneliness

Have you ever felt so empty within you
That life ceases to exist;
To wake in the morning and hear my silence.
This silence offends me more than most obtrusive noise.
Memories serve to inflict the pain of history;
Rekindling thoughts of friends once trusted, lovers once adored.
My constant daily struggle to find the solace within,
Dies into the night as tears disappear into my pillow.
I will wake again - but not really!
My eyes will open to a clouded view of humanity,
One which I cannot cast aside - this is my reality.

This midnight hour forgives all who render themselves helpless;
But beware the relentless break of dawn.
Like the perfect storm the collaboration of energy
Can illuminate a night sky.
At this hour my mind is poisoned by thoughts of loathing,
Self-pity and unrest.
Cascading visions - more like daylight nightmares
Filtering life's light until there is nothing left to see
But hatred and sorry excuses.

As one day my heart will seek and find
Those memories my soul never left behind.

Cally

A Mother's Response

Loathing and self pity are the soul's worst enemies
For they destroy our inner ego;
We all respond to words of kindness and love,
Even if not meant fully at the time.
They are still good for our soul to hear.
We all feel loneliness at times;
To be alone is frightening.

We all take what we can from life and still want more,
For it is in nature to do so;
Our patience though is to give to others
All manner of love and kindness,
So that we grow in spirit
And know that we are never really
Alone!

One day your soul will seek and find those memories
Your heart has left behind;
For each of us has borne all manner of pain,
Loneliness, deceit and fear.
Yes - fear is the real killer,
As our hearts forgive so easily
Yet still at the end of the day,
Our soul remembers!

I wish i could make memories like that with my parents but alas they will never come over from England. Im so happy for you that you got to spend such magical times together, they are truly priceless. I know i have some memories to make on the cruise with you and John.....its my first true holiday/vacation in over 27 years one thats just us doing things that dont include visiting family and friends and trying to keep them all happy. No this time is for us we have gone through enough we deserve this these last 3 years have been hard in many ways and taught me many lessons aswell, i have lost not only my son but several other family members and friends had our home destroyed by a hurricane and business damaged and now the recession and the usual other things that come along.....but i will not let it get me down for the things that are important like you say are memories and people & family n friends,
Stuff is not important its just stuff and theres a whole world full of stuff and thats what i do i buy and sell stuff anything just like ol man steptoe or arthur dailey....lol i find amazing things and then turn round and sell them in our 7000sq ft store and people come from far and wide. We make memories there too...lol
My home will be again fixed the business premises repaired and the economy will turnaround and the memories of those family and friends that went home to the other side will always and forever more be in my precious memories.

HUGS MUCH LOVE AND LIGHT TO ALL

Hi my love, I just lost everything that I wrote to you!!! Oh, that really irks me to no end!!! Oh, well, no use dwelling over it since its all gone.!! As I was saying-Oh my god, what was it that I was saying!!

Oh yes, about memories, Its always great having them my love, no matter how small they may be. I am sorry to say that I do not have any good memories of my parents, but I do and will always remember all the memories that I made with my friends and immediate family meaning my daughters. Esp. now that my youngest is no longer with me, but only in spirit. So Lisa, don;t ever forget what you have built as far as your memories go, you never know when they will be your last! tell your mum and dad to please have a safe trip back home when its time for them to leave. Now there you have some beautiful memories to always treasure!! Hold onto them tight. give Kev and Charlie and the two furry ones too, a big hello for me.

My love to you also, and i will see you Friday night. Only 4 more sleeps!!''\

Love you always, Mary

Hi, it is so nice that you get to spend that kind of quality time with your parents. My mother passed when I was 22 and I was actually just starting to get to know her and sure miss the times we could and should of had when I see Mother's and Daughter's out to eat lunch and shopping, etc. so often think how nice that would of been. My father has been gone now for 11 years so I always think anyone that can spend that kind of time with family is very fortunate. Especially with them living 7000 miles away, you are very blessed and we are all blessed to have you in our lives.

Love & Hugs, Judi :)

I had a family reunion last week...it was my Father's family. And not one of them are in the physical. It was so grand, loving, accepting and humbling. I love it when they visit but more importantly I love that "I am letting it in" to receive them. I would wish that for everyone. So glad you are teaching what you know and what you do. So empowering, loving and giving to others...

Enjoy these days...

Love & Hugs,
Andrea

Hey there Lisa,

You have me laughing when you said cramming for a math exam...ha, ha. I could imagine that it is quite overwhelming especially since you have been on the road so long and are probably exhausted. So little time to do so much... you just go into panic and freak out mode. Yes, exactly like school. Glad you are finding some time to relax with your family in between cramming for the mediumship workshop.

So true, that it is all about creating beautiful memories. A lifetime memories remain in our hearts as our photographs fade. Although I find myself to be a bit of an emotional mess today due to memories, I truly do cherish them. It is amazing to hear how Spirit remembers and how they convey the memories through you to the person getting the reading. So amazing and yet comforting to know that they remember.

Lately I have been thinking how awesome it would be to attend one of your seminars. One day I will get the courage to come to one and I bet I would learn so much from you. I just have a gut feeling. Sometimes the timing isn't right and when it is, I will know it.

Love~n~Hugs,
DS
